The Sydney Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital is composed of different sections or departments according to the service provided. The Sydney Eye Hospital opening hours officially open at 8 o’clock in the morning and ends at 5 o’clock in the afternoon from Mondays to Fridays. In case of urgent problems, the Sydney Eye Hospital is open from 9 o’clock in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon on weekdays and public holidays. In case of emergency again after the emergency services, the hospital may admit patients from 5 in the afternoon to 10 in the morning.

The Sydney Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital’s different departments may vary its opening hours. On day of surgery and Day Procedure Patients, admission times usually being at 7 o’clock in the morning at level 1, Ward 1 West. On general surgeries, admission times usually start at 10 o’clock in the morning at the level 1, Ward 1 West. On eye surgeries, admission times are at 10 o’clock in the morning and 1 o’clock in the afternoon at level 1, admission desk. But in some case, admission hours may vary depending on the scheduled time. Patients may refer on the admission letter given to them.
