What We Do

We Will Provide

The Sydney Eye Hospital Foundation was formed in 1981. The Foundation’s chief purpose is to raise funds for the development of the Sydney Eye Hospital.

Our Principal Objectives

SUPPORT

To attract membership of, and donations to, the Foundation- with a view to funding the purchase of equipment and other vital facilities for the Sydney Eye Hospital.

EDUCATION

To increase and expand the specialised facilities required to support the ongoing teaching and post-graduate training provided by the Sydney Eye Hospital – for medical students, doctors, nurses and allied health professionals.

EQUIPMENT

To provide and update sophisticated equipment for the operating theatres and the inpatient and outpatient areas of the Sydney Eye Hospital.

DEVELOPMENT

To consolidate the further development of the super-specialist role of the Sydney Eye Hospital.

SPECIALISED FACILITIES

To increase and expand the more highly specialised facilities of the Sydney Eye Hospital.

RESEARCH

To provide funds for critical research into prevention of blindness in relation to Eye Hospital patients.

ESTABLISHED A TEACHING FACILITY WHILE THE HOSPITAL CONDUCTS RESEARCH INTO THE PREVENTION OF BLINDNESS

CONDUCTS A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF ALL SOPHISTICATED EYE SURGERY PERFORMED IN THE NEW SOUTH WALES
